Jackson, Mich. — With students facing a little time off between Christmas and the New Year, the Jackson Community Foundation joined WKHM to remind them that deadlines are approaching for their student scholarships and now is the time to go online and apply, according to President and CEO Monica Moser.

Moser explains that the Jackson Community Foundation is a place where Jackson can invest in our community.

The Jackson Community Foundation will celebrate its 75th year in 2023. It was started in 1948 with about $20,000 from a community war chest from two families who lost their sons in battle, according to Moser. Today, the Jackson Community Foundation’s net assets are about $48 million.
