Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — This Saturday (April 4) will have the upcoming April Fools 5.5k Run/Walk (and its “sold-out marathon”) in the Jackson community.
Day-of packet pick-up is happening at the Lime Lake Park and Boat Launch in Spring Arbor from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Jeff and Tina Beagle talked about how people can register early online, and mentioned some of the other festivities like the fun run for the kids.
Proceeds will benefit the Kory C Wittman II Memorial, and Jeff and Tina have committed themselves to spreading awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and implement more sidewalks in Jackson after their son was tragically killed by a distracted driver.
Jeff and Tina Beagle ask that those who are on the road remain focused and refrain from anything that would take their eyes off of what’s in front of them while driving, such as a cell phone.
The April Fools’ Marathon is an official ORS Race Series point qualifier event. Online registration is available at the following link: https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/SpringArbor/AprilFoolsMarathons.
Registration is $35.00 plus a $3.10 sign-up fee per entry until April 4, when the base price becomes $40.00 plus a $3.40 sign-up fee per entry.
