Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The GIG – The Art of Michigan Music showcase returns to Jackson Saturday afternoon from 12:00 – 10:30 p.m. at Art 634 on N Mechanic Street.
Chuck Marshall, founder of GIG – The Art of Michigan Music Foundation, explained to WKHM that the event celebrates the visual artists that help bring Michigan’s music community to life in a variety of ways.
In addition to the artwork being available to experience, there will also be pieces up for sale. Multiple educational panels will also take place throughout the day to help visual artists improve themselves and their careers.
Founder Chuck Marshall also said that the show will feature live music from acts around the state in the evening, including one local to Jackson.
Tickets to the live music show cost $15 each. Food trucks and a cash bar will also be available during the entire event. More information about The Art of Michigan Music showcase can be found at gigartmich.org.
