Jackson County Animal Shelter Dog Spa Open for Use, Donations Go to Shelter’s Emergency Medical Fund

Share: Copied!

Jackson, MI (WKHM) — The Jackson County Animal Shelter is opening up their dog spas to the public for dog grooming for a minimum $10 donation.

Shelter Director Lydia Sattler provided WKHM with details on what amenities are available for those who want to utilize the space to bathe their pet, including a variety of shampoos and automated drying.

The donations will be going toward the shelter’s emergency medical fund, which helps them take care of homeless animals as well as pets in significant need.

Potential benefits of using the shelter’s dog spa include being able to bathe your dog in an area designed for animal baths, and the dog is likely to be more comfortable with their owner working with them rather than a stranger.

The Jackson County Animal Shelter is also hosting a different food truck at their location on Spring Arbor Road every Wednesday throughout the summer.
