Dawn Foods has announced it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by the international ingredients company Puratos. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Dawn Foods, headquartered in Jackson, is a global supplier of bakery ingredients and products used in donuts, muffins, cookies, and other sweet baked goods. The company partners with more than 50-thousand bakers and food manufacturers in over 100 countries.
Belgium-based Puratos specializes in bakery, patisserie, and chocolate ingredients, with operations in more than 80 countries. Company leaders say the combination would bring together Dawn’s application-focused innovation and distribution network with Puratos’ research-driven ingredient technology.
Until the deal is finalized, both companies say they will continue operating independently with no changes to day-to-day operations, customers, or employees.
