JCDOT Implements Seasonal Weight Restrictions on Jackson County Roads

Share: Copied!

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson County Department of Transportation (JCDOT) implemented seasonal weight restrictions on the roadways on January 9.

The department says that seasonal weight restrictions are necessary to protect roads during the annual freeze-thaw cycle.

This cycle can lead to weakened pavement and costly damage if the weight restrictions aren’t put in place.

JCDOT says agriculturalists, utility companies, and other impacted businesses needing seasonal permits can apply online at oxcartpermits.com.

For more info, you can contact the department at 517-788-4230 or follow their Facebook page for future updates.
