Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Firefighters battled two overnight fires early Sunday morning in Jackson County.
Around 12:40 a.m., crews from Jackson, Summit, and Blackman-Leoni fire departments responded to a structure fire on West Addison Street in the city of Jackson. Heavy smoke was reported when firefighters arrived, but the fire was quickly brought under control. That blaze remains under investigation.
While crews worked that scene, two other Jackson fire trucks were called to a second structure fire in Napoleon Township. Firefighters searched the building and rescued two people. Their conditions, along with other details about the fire, have not yet been released. Napoleon Township officials say more information will be available soon. Both fires remain under investigation.
