Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Authorities with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office say that two people are in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash in Liberty Township.

On Wednesday morning (September 24) at approximately 7:21 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of South Meridian Road and Wetherby Road in Liberty Township.

According to officials, preliminary investigation indicates that a black 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, operated by a 52-year-old man from Hillsdale, was traveling southbound on South Meridian Road when it crossed into the northbound lane.

The vehicle subsequently collided with a silver 2009 Mercury Mariner occupied by a 47-year-old woman from Cement City, an 18-year-old woman, and three juvenile passengers.
