Jackson’s downtown Social District officially opening St. Patrick’s Day with Chamber Ribbon Cutting

Jackson, Mich. — Downtown Jackson’s long-awaited Social District is kicking off Friday, March 17 at 12:30 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber). The ribbon cutting will take place right outside the Chamber office and McKibbin Media Group downtown studio at 134 W. Michigan Ave.

What is a Social District?

The Social District will allow patrons to purchase alcoholic beverages in designated cups from participating businesses and enjoy them outside of the business, as long as it is within the borders of the designated Social District (see map below). The Social District will take place Thursday-Friday from 12:00 p.m. til 12:00 a.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 9:00 a.m. til 12:00 a.m.
